Rock Solid Knowledge is proud to announce the release of AdminUI 1.1. This version is the culmination of all of the feedback we have received from our customers, bringing new features, bug fixes and UX improvements.

Stay tuned for more updates, including new deployment & hosting options, and .NET Core 2 support.

Updating

  • Docker: To update the Docker version of AdminUI, all you need to do is to run docker-compose pull.
  • IIS: To update the IIS version of AdminUI, please download the new files and update your dlls.

New Features

AdminUI Webhooks

Our biggest new feature for AdminUI is our two new webhooks. These allow AdminUI to trigger external functions hosted by a customer, allowing custom functionality to be triggered.

User Registration

This webhook is triggered upon the successful creation of a new user. By default, a user will be created without a password and with their email address set as unconfirmed. Using this webhook, you can now trigger external functionality such as registration completion, requesting a user to set thier password & confirm their email address.

Password Reset

This webhook enables a new button within the user edit screen, allowing your administration staff to trigger your password reset functionality for that user.

AdminUI Public Endpoints

User Settings

A new endpoint is available for enabling user facing profile management. Using this endpoint, you can discover what claim types a user is allowed to update, get the current values for that user, and for then update those claims. Claim types can now be individually marked user editable.

This endpoint is protected by a different scope (permission level) than the rest of AdminUI, and a user's profile can only be updated by that user.
